Fort
Lauderdale, FL, May 8, 2008 The
Laredo Group, Inc., today announced their partnership with the Interactive
Advertising Bureau (IAB) on their Professional Development series. The
Laredo Group has developed customized half and full day mini-courses
to help IAB members and other interested companies and professionals
learn how to more effectively sell online and interactive advertising.
The first two of these courses are being offered in New York City
on June 11, 2008 and San Francisco on June 19, 2008.
The IAB mini-course
Professional Development seminars designed in conjunction with
the Laredo Group will provide training to those within the interactive
industry and those transitioning from traditional media on how
to take full advantage of the myriad opportunities available
in the digital ecosystem. The programming responds to the growing
industry need by web publishers, advertising agencies and marketers
who are seeking ways to maintain and enhance their skills and
knowledge on the latest tools and technologies in the interactive
industry.
Laredo Group
developed this unique mini-course offering to launch for the
first time in partnership with the IAB as another way to continue
to help develop and promote this relatively new but increasing
important part of the overall advertising industry.
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with the IAB to offer
these courses to their members,” says Leslie Laredo, president
and founder of The Laredo Group. “As interactive plays a
bigger role in advertising budgets, companies are struggling to
train new talent or re-train proven traditional advertising professionals.
These IAB mini-courses give their members an economical opportunity
to get up-to-speed quickly on technologies, tools and techniques
they need to use every day. These courses will continue to propel
the growth of an already fast growing industry segment.”
The IAB half-day
mini courses include the most pressing topics for interactive sales
people today including ad measurement, post click and post impression
activity, the economics of online revenue, “walking
in the buyer’s shoes”, and managing client expectations. Attendees
will receive a Certificate of Interactive Media & Advertising.
Registrations are now being taken for the mini-courses, Intelligent
Selling of Interactive Advertising, Level I and Level II which
are being offered in New York and San Francisco. Registration is
open to both IAB members and non-members; discounted pricing applies
for members and groups of four or more. Dates, locations,
course outlines, and agenda and registration details can be referenced
at www.laredogroupiabseminars.com.
